Robert Walters

Robert commenced his early career in banking in London, followed by roles at major investment and asset management institutions as well as specialised boutique investment businesses.

From 2004, Robert was Investment Director, Property, for BDO Investment Management Limited (part of the BDO global accountancy practice), a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and responsible for all aspects of the firm’s real estate investment strategy, including the firm’s eight in-house real estate funds managing, directly and indirectly, c.£1.25bn of assets.

Robert joined New York based Beacon Hospitality Partners in 2011, a specialist hospitality asset management and advisory business working with institutional clients on a wide range of hotel asset management, development, asset management and capital market assignments.

In addition, Robert was Senior Advisor to the CBRE EMEA Hotels team May 2017 to and July 2018 and a partner at Madrid based private equity business Estrela Capital Partners. He joined the Global Asset Solutions team, in December 2021.

Founding chairman of the London Chapter of the International Luxury Hotel Association (2025).
