Global Asset Solutions has added Francisco Garcia Auyanet to its team as an asset manager, as the group continues to expand globally.

Garcia joins the company as the appetite for specialised, luxury-oriented hotel asset managers builds.

He most recently held the role of financial planning and analysis manager at Radisson Hotel Group, prior to which he was an asset management analyst at Hotel Investment Partners, overseeing the performance of a portfolio in the Canary Islands.

Garcia’s experience in the hotel sector was further honed at Ernst & Young, where he worked in IT advisory, specialising in the definition and implementation of digital tools to improve internal processes for large hotel groups.

Alex Sogno, CEO, Global Asset Solutions, said: “The hotel sector is beginning to recognise the potential of technology to drive not only operational efficiencies, but also ancillary revenue and enhanced guest experiences. However, there are no shortcuts to achieving the right solution for each property; only those with in-depth hotel industry experience will be successful.

“We are thrilled to be working with someone of Garcia’s experience and abilities, who can deliver the returns that each hotel is capable of, drawing on his knowledge of both technology and asset management.”

Garcia added: “This is an exciting time to join Global Asset Solutions, as the pressures facing the hotel sector mean that owners increasingly need specialist knowledge to meet their investment goals, in both the short and long term.

“At Global Asset Solutions I am joining a group with a reputation for excellence in the luxury market and I look forward to contributing my own areas of expertise to the team.”

Garcia holds a Double Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Business Administration from Comillas Pontifical University and has completed specialised industry programmes including: Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management at Cornell University, the Certified Hotel Valuer programme from the International Association of Hotel Appraisers, and the Advanced Programme in Real Estate & Hospitality at IE University.
